III. AGENCY DESCRIPTION: Please describe below. |
The Guidance Clinic is located in the Alameda Co Juvenile Hall building in San Leandro . The clinic provides mental health services to delinquent wards of the juvenile court. These services include psychodiagnostic evaluations, crisis evaluation, individual and family therapy and group therapy. The clinic has a adolescent sex offender treatment program and a day treatment program. |

Describe practicum trainee duties and responsibilities : Trainees are responsible for psychodiagnostic evaluations, individual, family and group therapy, case management, crisis intervention, consultation, participation in mandatory student training and staff meetings. Caseload of two evaluations per month, 2-3 therapy cases, 1 group or crisis intervention responsibilities. |

To provide a supportive training experience that includes didactic training and clinical supervision. Throughout the year, attention is focused on the trainees' professional development. Our program assists trainees in developing skills in clinical assessment and diagnosis, develop skills in intervention, enhance skills in working with various disciplines in collaborative manner, develop testing skills. |
